🥖 What is sourdough?
Sourdough is naturally leavened bread made without commercial yeast. It uses wild yeast and friendly bacteria from a starter for a distinct tang, chewy crust, and gut-friendly benefits.

🌾 What’s in your sourdough?
Our classic sourdough includes bread flour, whole wheat, rye, filtered water, and sea salt—nothing artificial, just pure ingredients and time.

🧠 Why is it called STUpendous Sourdough?
Because it’s bold, handcrafted, and proudly made by Stuart ("Stu")—a neurodivergent baker celebrating creativity, resilience, and amazing bread.

⏳ How long does it last?
Uncut loaves stay fresh for 4–5 days at room temp. Once cut, store the loaf cut-side down or wrapped in beeswax, foil, or linen.

❄️ Can I freeze it?
Yes! Slice before freezing for easy access. Whole loaves can be thawed at room temp and refreshed in the oven for that bakery-fresh feel.

🔥 How should I reheat it?
For best crust: lightly mist with water, wrap in foil, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes. For slices, just toast!

🍞 What kinds of sourdough do you offer?
Start with our classic loaf, then customize with cheeses, herbs, fruits, or chocolate. We also feature rotating weekend specials: minis, bread bowls, monkey bread, and more.

📍 Where do I pick up my bread?
Pickup is at our Leavened Locker in Madison Heights. You'll receive a code and simple instructions when your bread is ready. We also host pop-ups at Charley's Restaurant every Monday from noon-3pm
